Tony A Rohr

Actor

Tony a Rohr is a well known actor. Born Tony Walsh in Mainstown (Dead Man's Boreen) Carrick on Suir in 1940. His mother was Peggy Walsh. Tony recently played Ricky Gervais father in the series Derek. 

He attended the Green school with Michael Coady with whom he is still friends. He then went to the local Technical school before emigrating to the UK at 16 years old.

He also acted in Caryl Churchill's play, "Cloud Nine," at the Mac Robert Arts Centre in Stirling, Scotland, in a Joint Stock Theatre Group production with Antony Sher, Jim Hooper, Julie Covington, Miriam Margolyes, and Carole Hayman in the cast.
