CARRICK-ON-SUIR MARINA
Carrick-on-Suir is navigable from any part of Ireland's inland waterways. As the river is tidal to Carrick-on-Suir it is necessary to travel with the tides.
There are no reliable navigation markers on the River Suir between the Port of Waterford and Carrick-on-Suir. It is recommended that the passage between Waterford and Carrick-on-Suir be only undertaken by, or under the guidance of, sailors familiar with the estuary.
Navigation charts from Cheekpoint to Carrick-on-Suir are available in "A Guide to Carrick by the Suir" available for purchase at the tourist office for €10.00 including P&P from the Tourist Information Office, Heritage Centre, Main St. Carrick-on-Suir. from the Tourist Information Point, Municipal District Office, New Street, Carrick on Suir for €10.00.
USE OF PUBLIC MARINA
Carrick-on-Suir Public Marina is operated by Tipperary County Council.
Access to and from the Marina is by way of a security gate operated by mobile phone. Visitors should contact the Municipal District Office in Carrick-on-Suir in advance of their visit to arrange access to the Marina. Visitors will be required to produce their marine insurance to the County Council.
The Municipal District Office is located at New Street, Carrick-on-Suir. It is open to the public Monday to Friday between 9:30 AM and 4:30PM, and may be contacted at 0761 065000.
Visitors to the Marina must comply with the Bye Laws governing it.
