Peg Clancy Power

Actress & Singer

Peg Clancy Power (a sister of the Clancy brothers)  is an actress and a singer. Peg has also appeared on several Clancy Brothers albums and in recent years on RTE's Fair City. She also has played leading roles at the local Brewery Lane Theatre.

In 1961, she won the Cork Drama Prize for the "best actress" of the year.

For many years Peg had a highly successful morning radio show on Co. Tipperary's main radio station - Tipp FM.

The youngest in the Clancy family, Peg has a long tradition of singing grandmothers, mother, father, sisters and brothers behind and around her. Many of the songs she sings come from her family, while others were learned at school or from friends. Peg sings many of her songs in the Irish language.

Peg sang and recorded many songs with her brothers but also recorded her own album as seen below.
